Mantis Shrimp
The Mantis Shrimp is the Second Horseman of the Shrimpocalypse, who together with the other Horsemen can bring forth an end to the game! As a Horseman of the Shrimpocalypse, Mantis Shrimp activates whether it is played OR discarded. It can summon the Third Horseman of the Shrimpocalypse if it is in hand, and will otherwise reduce the hand limit to 5 and force all opponents to pass two cards to the left! 🦐✨️ HOWEVER 👹 If it is played OR discarded before the First Horseman (Fairy Shrimp) has been played, you instead draw 2 cards and shuffle this card back into the deck! Make sure Mantis only comes out at the right time! In real life, the Mantis Shrimp (there are many—we use Lysiosquillina maculata in the Shrimpocalypse expansion) is a decadent Shrimp species with incredible vision! 👀 While humans only have three photoreceptors for color perception, they have between 12 and 16! 🤯 Their claws can also strike with WITH THE SPEED OF A BULLET, with the power to even break glass aquariums. It's so powerful that the cavitation bubbles their strikes create collapse with a force strong enough that it produces light and heat comparable to THE SURFACE OF THE SUN! ☀️☀️☀️ Use this Shrimp to thwack your opponents into the next stage of the Shrimpocalypse! 🦐🔪☀️
